Los Roques located
in the Caribbean 180 miles west of Margarita
Island (Isla Margarita) and 100 (160 km) miles north of Caracas. The Los Roques
Archipelago National
Park is one of the largest marine national parks
in the Caribbean and consists of more than 50 islands, 200 sand banks and
numerous coral reefs. The park with exceptionally beautiful beaches of white
sand and multicolor, crystalline warm waters is a diving, sailing and fishing
paradise.
There are many tour operators on Isla Margarita who sell both day tours and
overnighters to Los Roques.
GUEST HOUSES
ALL THE GUEST HOUSES ARE LOCATED ON GRAN ROQUE, THE MAIN ISLAND WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY A SMALL FISHING VILLAGE. YOU WILL FIND A FEW SHOPS AND A SMALL SUPERMARKET. ELECTRICITY IS PROVIDED BY A DIESEL PLANT.
