The complex and grounds of "Chateau del
Agua" are located just off the Playa el Agua - the most famous and most
beautiful beach on the island of Margarita. This beach is approximately 4 km
long.
Our well kept and peaceful complex was opened in August 1998. The grounds are
now maintained by our gardener on a daily basis. You can relax around our
swimming pool which is 20 metres long and surrounded by a host of tropical
plants. Also in the garden is the cool, shady "Churuata" which has a 6 m long
bar for private functions, as well as a BBQ centre. By night the grounds are
also patrolled by our night security guard.
The apartments are tastefully and completely furnished. The are 52 sg. metres
(572 ft²) in size and include one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, sitting area with
double sofa bed and balcony with sea view.
The bedroom is equipped with a modern air conditioning unit and which is
powerful enough to cool the entire apartment.
In the fully equipped kitchen, there is crockery, cutlery and glasses for 4
people as well as a range of pots and pans. In addition each apartment has a
microwave oven, fridge, coffee-making machine, cooker and breakfast bar with
four stools. An adequate amount of bed linen, hand towels and tea-towels is
included with each apartment.

Final cleaning will be charged with 20,- US Dollar.

As for shopping, there is a small shopping centre immediately adjacent to the
beach,
which has a small supermarket and an exchange office.
Alternatively, approximately 10 minutes on foot from the complex, you will find
"Jonnys" supermarket . A bigger supermarket, "el Tirano", can be reached in
approximately 10 minutes by car from the complex. There you will find fresh
fruits, vegetables, meat etc. Once a week we go to Porlamar for shopping - the
biggest shopping centre on the island. If you would like to go with us we would
be pleased to take you free of charge.
You could also take the opportunity of going to Porlamar on the local bus.
The buses come every few minutes. You pay when you get off.

A bank which accepts credit cards can be found at nearby Paraguachi.
In the event that you need to telephone there is a telephone centre adjacent to
the beach
opposite the hotal "Hesperia Playa el Agua". You can also send and receive faxes
from there.

Margarita Island, the most southerly of the Caribbean Islands has an area of
some 920 sg. km and is unhabited by approximately 300.000 people. Numerous
palm-fringed sandy beaches are in abundance.
The daily temperature here is 28 C to 30 C & is never cold here! The sun shines
daily.

The cost of living here is much lower than in Europe. A beer at a restaurant on
the beach
costs approximately 35 cents, a meal on the beach costs $5 or Euros, a litre of
petrol costs 4 cents.
